Rocketry and MSER
In conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the UKRA Council has prepared several documents concerning both the UKRA chairman's dealings with the HSE and the legal position of rocketry with regard to all current UK legislation.
It is very important that this is read by all rocketeers.
The information contained within this documentation is the only reference that contains all of the facts and has been checked for accuracy with the HSE.
MSER and Rocketry.pdf
This gives a brief synopsis of the UKRA Chairman's dealings with the HSE as presented to the membership at the 2005 UKRA AGM.
A Rocketeer's Guide to Legal Requirements.pdf
This gives a full and detailed reference to current legislation and its impact upon rocketry in the UK.
The current version is 2.2
Quest Motors
After new and clearer information has come to light the Rocketeers Guide to Legal Requirements has been amended to reflect what UKRA considers to be the correct classification of Quest motors.
Although conflicting evidence still exists as to the correct UN number for Quest motors it would seem likely that the evidence supports the case for UN 0432 (the same as Estes A to D) as the most appropriate classification. It seems more fitting for Quest motors to be listed as being under UN 0432 in the organisation's materials.
