Afternoon all;

As I am sure you are aware UKRA has, traditionally, held its Annual General Meeting at the same time as a national launch event, although last year we held both the UKRA launch and AGM in conjunction with Black Knights at their BK Flamer event.

This year it is going to have to be different again; although we now have encouraging leads on a new launch site(s) it is clear that we will not be able to organise a combined meeting / launch within the constituently acceptable timeframe; instead we are going to organise a meeting at a suitable location - preferably a location that is central, with good motorway / train access and some sort of added value feature to encourage attendance! This will be around mid to late June in keeping with the UKRA tradition.

Already suggested venues are the National Space Centre in Leicester, the Royal Gunpowder Mills at Waltham Abbey and the Velocity Business Centre in Bradford; please feel free to suggest any other sites while we still have time to investigate them (2 or 3 weeks).

Please do not take the above as an indication that we have given up on organising a national launch this year; if one of the sites on our hit list proves to be acceptable then we will certainly be utilising it - just a bit later in the year. Obviously we will announce details as soon as possible to give people time to organise their lives.

Further to AGM stuff; please give some time to pondering if there is anything you want to place on the agenda and forward this to the Secretary.

Also… we need people to stand for Council Elections - preferably more candidates than there are seats to fill as it’s just embarrassing when it goes the other way! Any volunteers please report to the Secretary at your earliest convenience
